Finikia is a small, well-preserved village just before you enter the village of Oia. At the times when the town of Oia was flourishing in maritime business, in Finikia lived farmers who worked in the plains and the vine yards. It is an alternative quite place to spend the evenings if you live in Oia. You can walk there from the beach of Baxedes and take the path leading into the valley with vineyards and the beautiful churches of Agia Kyriaki and Agios Konstantinos. Even further, the stairs will take you to the small church of Kyra Panagia, a perfect spot to enjoy the sunset in peace. On the left side of the main road that goes from the beach Finikia Baxedes you will find the famous winery Sigalas, unique to this area of the island. .
